Twin Blue Ring

What you see here in photo above is The Twin Blue Ring - two holes discovered in Tingkayu Reef, in Lahad Datu district. Now it is called as Blue Ring Reef - new local attraction that attract scuba divers from around the world to explore what's in it.

This is the first and the only 'Blue Ring' in the sea discovered by local professional scba diver named Glen Hapirulla. He found it along with his team while exploring new dive sites around Silam Bay area.

Glen is the only active professional diver who run  scuba diving trips to Blue Ring throigh his dive center named Pirate Divers based in Silam, Lahad Datu.

The first photo of Blue Ring in Lahad Datu was surfaced in social media back on early 2019 and was covered widely by local online newspaper in Malaysia. View more photos below.

Both of those two Blue Rings are not connected down below. Instead, each of the Blue Ring is an individual round hole. The maximum depth is about 15-17 meters from sea surface.

Location of Blue Rings is about 30 minutes by boat ride from Darvel Bay near Lahad Datu city center.

Well, what do you think about this Blue Ring and the only Blue Ring reef in Malaysia?

Would you like to go there someday?
