The blue color of Kota Kinabalu City Mosque comes from the turqoise lagoon water that surrounded it - also from the blue sky above it especially during good weather.

Here's how the Blue Mosque looks like from above.

The "Blue Mosque" is also one of tourist attraction in Kota Kinabalu city center apart from other main attractions such as Signal Hill Observation Tower, I Love KK monument and islands near Kota Kinabalu marine park.

Best time to visit "Blue Mosque" is around April to June every year because of the dry season (less rain in Kota Kinabalu) making the sky looks really clear with not so many clouds. Photo of Blue Mosque taken using your smartphone will be perfect during this time.

We've done it before! Best time to take photo of Kota Kinabalu City Mosque is around afternoon time from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM also during sunset hours from 6:10 PM to 6:35 PM.
